So we got our lil grubby hands on some Tracy Reese spring preview pics….im kinda liken it! Here is their offish release:
The Tracy Reese spring 2010 collection is a study of juxtapositions; the contrast between architectural and relaxed silhouettes, hard and soft, sheer and opaque. Femininity enlivens current wardrobes, with a focus on draping and ruching and modern embellishments. Intense color combinations, vivacious prints and multi-layered shapes inject Reese’s spring collection with positivity.
“To enter spring with a modern and upbeat attitude we used vibrant hues and the combination of architectural shapes and easy folds on drapey materials. A passion fruit surplice frock in a relaxed, draped silhouette with textural embellishment is the perfect piece to kick off the season with a look that is elegant with edge,” Tracy Reese, Designer and Founder.
The good folks that rep Rebecca Taylor gave us a sneak peek of her new TWENTY TEN SPRING LINE. Here is what they said:
The Rebecca Taylor girl for spring explores urban femininity. She works, lives and plays in the city. Towering printed sandals and architectural structured stretch dresses are softened with femme corset-inspired bustiers and flippy, fun, pull on printed skirts. Our girl likes to wear her boyfriend’s blazers and super soft cashmere athletic inspired sweaters thrown over top tiny leather skirts. Spring 2010 encompasses playful use of colors, prints and textures. The palette is intense with shades of big apple reds, shocking pinks, electric blues, and retro jades contrasted with desert tans and soft, peachy oranges. Sharper than seasons past, strong shoulders and a new, waisted silhouette enhance the look our girl wantonly craves.
Over the Knee definitely on trend for the Fall, but at it’s rumored $345 price, that seems a little to steep for being a diffusion capsule collaboration. What do you think?
There are no words to explain how thankful I am.
What started out as an idea came out to be the best thing ever produced by iDR. Our Live Artist Summer Series started off as an idea to bring together up and coming artists in a social environment that friendly enough to the public as well as the art/creative community. As the series evolved so did our network. We have sold several pieces, atleast one in each show! We also cultivated an event that makes networking easier and sociable. Can you believe someone got an interview for a job at our event….now that makes every bit of stress worth it.
There are so many people to thank. Especially Orson Restaurant, they are beyond great…great to work with and great overall. They have an awesome staff that delivers great service! Honestly try their duck fat fries, its deliiiiish!
Thanks to all the artists August Photographers: Albert Lam, Jeffrey Dojillio, and Todd Posadas. July’s Multimedia Artists: Orly and JBoo. June’s Aerosol Artists: Wes Wong, Tenfold, Satyr, & Drama. As most of you all would know by now . Every year F1 races go all over the world for races and has just recently extended its race to the island of Singapore.
That’s where I’m from! But this year, there’s something exciting that has been added into the event.
F1 rocks Singapore is going to have it’s first music concert in conjunction with the F1 race.
F1 rocks is an all-new series of international live music and televisual extravaganzas, staged alongside the 2009/10 FORMULA ONE calendar.
The three-day concert, which kicks off on September 24 , is held in conjunction with the Formula One night race in Singapore next month at the Fort Canning Park.
With artistes such as Beyonce and the Black Eyed Peas, will also feature Taiwanese diva A-Mei, who will be performing alongside Jacky Cheung.
Super cute photo stories about two molars by Inhae Renee Le. Here’s the back story:
“When I was young, I placed my baby teeth under my pillow and when i woke up I’d find a shiny new quarter. But whatever happened to those little teeth? Where did they go? Would I ever see them again?
Many years later, a little tooth was standing at my door. It looked familiar. Its name was ickle. Welcome home, my milk toof!
For those who are polaroids or photobooth obsessed ! You have to check this out. This is a french site that lets you take photos like those above right from your computer.Just click on the curtain, then on the red button. “Imprimer” means “print” and “télécharger” means “download”.
The most amazing fashion style I feel are always those out on the streets. You’ll never know what you’ll see, colors or prints you’ve never seen before.
Bright colors, crazy prints and solid bold colors are the way to go ! Anything laced up for shoes or those tucked away boots. It’s time to flaunt them.
Never be afraid to wear what you want. Because in fashion you can make the rules.

I believe in two things beauty and subtlety. I’m a big dreamer but i thrive on actualities. My best times are usually spent searching for the newest song, latest trends or upcoming films. http://weweredamsels.blogspot.com/
Remember when we posted back in May ‘09 that the historic department store Henri Bendel was leaving NYC? Well now it has showed up in LA’s hot hot Beverly Center. Who knew?! Im so happy its on the west coast, but does that mean this department store was sniffing for new money? I suppose shoppers in LA don’t feel as ressionista as the rest of America. Well the store officially opens in November with its beloved premium priced goods and brands as well as their signature line of bath, home, and fragrances. Can’t wait!

Naomi Campbell is getting animal friendly in the latest fashion editorial called the Wild Things in US Harper’s Bazaar. Her outfits are also full of animal prints, like leopard and zebra. Photographed by a French photographer named, Jean Paul Goude.
Don’t get this forever-a-summer-girl twisted, I am sooo not excited for Fall! It’s just that Betsey Johnson’s RTW Fall collection just happens to be full of all my favorite things: tulle, sequins, bright colors, and cheetah print, ohmahgah! I can’t wait to pair a cutesy cardi with my tutu, and my black sequined mini dress with electric blue tights, and my cheetah print pencil dress with a hot pink blazer… Whatev though, like I said- I’m definitely not excited for Fall…well maybe just a little.
Meet more of our newest guest contributors. Let me tell you these girls have some really great posts coming your way. Be on the look out!
