A Winter Kate jacket layered over a camisole and vest with House of Harlow 1960 accessories
According to WWD, Nicole Richie’s contemporary women’s line will finally be hitting stores February 2010. I’ve always loved Nicole Richie’s style (post-Hilton) including her accessibly priced House of Harlow 1960 accessories line. Thankfully, I don’t have to wait until I’m pregnant to wear her pieces (Nicole Richie for A Pea in the Pod if that didn’t make any sense).
Richie describes who her line is for and how I believe every woman should aspire to dress:
“She is a woman like me: She does not look at labels; she knows how to mix and match. The pieces can be dressed up, made casual, but most importantly, they provide the wearer a means of self-expression and fun.” -WWD.com
So far this one’s my fave, definitely screams Blair all over it. I know, let’s be Gossip Girls for Halloween. Peep the slideshow and pick out your favorite character frock.
How amazing is Stussy’s Fall 2009 Collection? It is perfect for the tomboy in us and still feminine enough to rock with a pair of pumps! Way to keep it classic Stussy with a military edge.
The 90’s are officially back, and I never thought I’d be be happy to welcome its return. I remember wearing a lot of velvet and crochet? among other things, back during these questionable fashion years…but ShopBop has definitely put Velvet in a new light. I never thought this fabric could look this good?!
Guess I’ll be adding another thing to my Fall 09′ Wishlist.

Peep the Hellz “Kicks After Six” capsule. Claimed as “bold”, but isn’t the brand as a whole a bold statement ? Not many companies do it as well as Lanie does. Reaffirming the feisty bitch in all of us in the clothes we wear is just what this collection is about. Do I see Agness Deyn on one of the shirts…love her!
Hellz Creative Director, Lanie Alabanza-Barcena expounds, “Inspiration for the graphics were drawn from familiar faces of fashion icons and iconic fashion brands who celebrate them.” To present this collection, we’ve created a short film available via vimeo – http://vimeo.com/5603112
“Kicks After Six” is currently available at your local fine retailers.
According to my friends’ twitter and facebook updates who were more than pleased with Beyonce’s I Am…Sasha Fierce tour, you can go home and relive every concert moment and record new and improved Single Ladies YouTube videos by wearing Thierry Mugler inspired clothes. This is all according to WWD, in which Beyonce and Mom Tina are launching a new over-the-top and embellished line entitled…Sasha Fierce.
As long as Sasha Fierce is not emblazoned in gold on the butt or pockets or sleeve or front, back, and sides…I may buy in to get my “Diva” on…
Oh never mind…I see the De- right there on the sleeve.

Our LIVE ARTIST SUMMER SERIES was an awesome night…nothing but great reviews from all the people that came out and supported to the wonderful staff at Orson. The aerosol artists were out in the front of the restuarant|bar|lounge so that the community, passerby-ers, and residents could enjoy. The artists were beyond talented, even Top Chef’s Master herself, Elizabeth came out to take pictures. Staff inside Orson came out to see what all the rave is about these artists, “amazing” is what they told me. Inside there were a lot of great conversations, networking, exchanging bcards, drinking, and of course eating (who couldn’t pass up those duck fries?). Goodie bags were quickly swept up by the end of the night. Everyone kept asking “is this a weekly, can I come back?“, well its not a weekly but we are continuing this series each month of the summer- July and Aug…so definitely come back, we’d love to see you! So we all drank, chatted, and ate until 10p which is beyond happy hour schedule, but who counting hours anyways?
On behalf of the iDR team i’d like to personally thank you the following people:

Married To The MOB’s Summer 2009 Collection has launched all over the webworld. In my personal opinion, I’m glad they’ve been upping their style to fit the ladies who don’t always want to represent their “strong female personalities,” aka “bitchiness.” Also, I wanted to add that the homie – David aka Shadi – shot some REALLY awesome photos for their lookbook. STUNNING. I’m always in awe of his work. So humble and so talented. Looking forward to what Leah and the rest of the MOB girls have in store for us – I’m more than sure it will always be a shocker! PS. I’m LOVING that romper.
Hellz-Bellz is BACK with a STRONG summer collection called “SO LOLITA.” Edgy, fun and WICKED – it gives a WHOLE new meaning to “lolita.” My applause goes out to MissLawn and Bam for creating another OUTSTANDING collection for the ladies to rock this summer! Available NOW at Hellz dealers. (ps. check out the minnie mouse ears made by my homegirl KerinRose “A-Morir”)
Summer’s fast approaching and the heat is on as Hellz brings the sizzle with its Summer 2009 Collection, SO LOLITA. So Lolita exudes a modern day coquette… She’s unpredictable playing it up with the high fashion “Hellz Naw” jacket to the raw “Gun It” dress while maintaining an idealism of Black is NOW but Color is ALWAYS, bringing forth a vamped up innocence.
The collection offers a variety of cut and styles to complete any females wardrobe including key staple summer looks, from a range of volume bubble skirts to edgy studded vest to the graphic tees synonymous to Hellz. Taking the construction of the line to new heights, Hellz revamped silhouettes and wear ability by providing light weight nylon jackets for a stylish look in comfort.
If you haven’t heard of the brand BLVK SCVLE you are probably on another planet. Bay Area design duo Mega and Alfred are proud to announce their first pop up store in San Francisco. In years time, they’ve created more than t-shirts. They’ve crafted a brand that has become a lifestyle. It is not your typical t-shirt graphic print in this over saturated industry called “streetwear”. More so, a highly strategic and conceptual story line that is the backbone of the the brand. Think Picasso or Cezanne on a really baaaad day where their thoughts of religion, conformity, and symbols are questioned. Congrats to them, we can’t wait whats in store….literally.
