AnOther Magazine’s new Decade In Style issue is available one week before general release exclusively at Liberty of London from today. The Decade In Style issue features four different covers; Katie Holmes in Alaia, Kate Moss in John Galliano, Natalie Portman in Lanvin and Vanessa Paradis in Chanel, in a celebration of fashion over the last ten years.
To celebrate our instore event with Liberty reprobate YBAs Jake & Dinos Chapman have illustrated five £5 notes to be won by Liberty customers. Each person buying a magazine from Liberty will be entered into a draw, with a chance of winning one prized banknote from these iconic artists.
There are no words to explain how thankful I am.
What started out as an idea came out to be the best thing ever produced by iDR. Our Live Artist Summer Series started off as an idea to bring together up and coming artists in a social environment that friendly enough to the public as well as the art/creative community. As the series evolved so did our network. We have sold several pieces, atleast one in each show! We also cultivated an event that makes networking easier and sociable. Can you believe someone got an interview for a job at our event….now that makes every bit of stress worth it.
There are so many people to thank. Especially Orson Restaurant, they are beyond great…great to work with and great overall. They have an awesome staff that delivers great service! Honestly try their duck fat fries, its deliiiiish!
Thanks to all the artists August Photographers: Albert Lam, Jeffrey Dojillio, and Todd Posadas. July’s Multimedia Artists: Orly and JBoo. June’s Aerosol Artists: Wes Wong, Tenfold, Satyr, & Drama. Thank you to the Make Up and Hair Artists that worked on our models for the August Show, CHA and April. Thank you to our Models (Adeanna, Christina Cross, Elizabeth Moody, and Michelle Ruiz) that made our encore party HOT HOT HOT! Thanks to the DJs that rocked the house: Sake 1, Mr. Mention, and Mike Nice.
and Congrats to Groop Swoop for participating in our raffle giveaway! They won a 2 hour photoshoot including 60 illuminous photos with light retouching.
….until next time!
(the Aug video is in the work and will be up shortly!)
I save a folder on my desktop for inspiration and I am sharing them with you on a weekly basis. Some are artful, some are commercial, some are just plain fun, however, all is in the eye of the beholder. Enjoy!
Similar to the Venetian glass work known as Millefiori – or “thousand flowers” – nail canes take your favorite nail design and make them ridiculously itty-bitty.
They start with a rainbow of clay polymers - stack, shape, assemble and sculpt until intricate images are created. The cane is then stretched and rolled until the diameter is almost non-existent. But, when the cane is sliced - SURPRISE!!! – the image remains in miniature
When budgets run tight – a nail makeover can be a guilt free indulgence. For a girl who can barely do her own manicure without shaking, sputtering, spilling and sucking . . .
”excuse me – could you pass me the nail polish remover please”
nail canes are pretty effing rad.
C’mon doing a plain ol’ clean polish job takes enough practice – forget about trying to paint a flamingo on top of all that and spending 4 hours letting everything dry. Nail canes have no drying time and ensure you get a perfect kerokerokeroppi or hummingbird on each and every nail. Find out more HERE

Models have more talent than just looking good! Check out Sasha Pivovarova’s illustration for Chanel. It was influenced by her Russian background and was the perfect piece for the Chanel runway show that chose Moscow as its desitnation. It was Karl Lagerfield himself who requested her art work. Sasha’s love for the arts is nothing new. Sasha was studying at the St. Petersberg Art Institute before signing with IMG Models in NYC. Sasha mentions doing an illustrative book for Prada and Chanel. Beauty and brains, who knew?!
“My drawings were inspired by the joy of seeing fairytale characters coming to life in one of the main theaters of Moscow, the city where I was born.”
